Arriving by car

The accommodation is located in Dernbach, in the picturesque Westerwald region, not far from the A3 motorway and centrally located between the two metropolitan areas of Frankfurt and Cologne, each of which is an hour's drive away.

Coming from the A3 motorway, take the Montabaur exit and follow the signs towards Wirges. At the roundabout, keep right and continue to follow the signs. After passing under the motorway bridge, you will find yourself in Eschelbach and continue driving through the village. When you reach the next roundabout, take the exit for Dernbach. At the next intersection, turn right onto the main road. Your accommodation is located just before the railroad crossing, next to a snack vending machine, opposite Café Görg.

Dernbach has its own regional train station and several bus lines, providing excellent connections to the surrounding region and beyond. The train station is a 2-minute walk away.

The nearest ICE train station is in neighboring Montabaur.

We highly recommend the best bakery in the area.

Mühlenbäcker is about a 5-minute drive away in Montabaur (Allmannshausen 10). Alternatively, there are two other recommended bakeries in Dernbach, such as Bäckerei Nink or Café Görg, which is directly opposite the apartment.

Just a few minutes' walk from the apartment, you will find both a Turkish and a Greek restaurant, both of which we can highly recommend.

Alternatively, the center of Montabaur is just a few minutes' drive away. There is something for every taste here. These are our favorites for a delicious meal in town:

Our tip: “Artischoke” (reservation required)

If you would like to have food delivered, we recommend our absolute favorite Italian restaurant, “MiPiace,” which offers delicious food at a fair price. If you arrive late, you will find a McDonald's and Burger King in nearby Heiligenroth.

Breakfast

There are various supermarkets (e.g., REWE or Edeka) and discount stores (Aldi or Penny) in Montabaur, where you can find everything you need for your daily needs.

For clothing and other items, the Fashion Outlet Center Montabaur or several other stores in the Heiligenroth industrial park are definitely worth a visit.

Our tip: The REWE-Supermarkt has a great selection of self-service baked goods and a fresh meat, fish and sushi counter.
